In a competitive marketplace, after a successful relaunch in 2009, the brand needed to refresh its features, tools, and overall look and feel. Additionally, when Apple introduced a subscription fee percentage for apps, we decided to shift from our current app to a responsive web app.
Our project goals were to boost user engagement by 10% and encourage 30% of our users to use the new "CPD Tracker" tool to earn credits.
Responsible for guiding the creative vision and user experience strategy. The role involved conducting user research, defining user personas, and mapping user journeys to ensure an intuitive and engaging experience. Collaborates closely with stakeholders to establish design guidelines, wireframes, and prototypes that align with business goals. Also lead and mentored a team of designers, ensuring consistency in design elements and interactions.
Findings
Our USP was the brand association with the Financial Times and the ability to offer CPD points to our users for reading CPD content on our site. We wanted to position ourselves close enough visually and use FT.com components on our site to reinforce our alignment with brand.
